Bobby King – Bobby King (1981) Vinyl LP

An original 1981 pressing of Bobby King's self-titled debut, the first solo album from the gospel-raised session singer whose voice backed Ry Cooder for years. Big soul phrasing and church-trained power run through the whole record, and it stayed an under-the-radar title even among soul collectors.
